Ballistic protection levels range from B4, which is effective against 22 caliber bullets, to level B7 which is effective against armour piercing rounds. If you have any questions about protection levels or any other concerns that you haven't found an answer to on our site or elsewhere, Armoured Shielding will be happy to provide you with a no obligation consultation regarding your armoured vehicle needs - and if we don't know the answer, we'll find out!
What's the difference between protection levels?
The protection levels above are based on the European Guidelines. The letter ‘B’ coupled with a number, states the Ballistic Protection Level. Simply speaking, the higher the number, the greater the level of ballistic protection.
So how do I know what protection my vehicle needs?
The level of protection required for your vehicle depends primarily on what you will be doing with the vehicle, and what environment you'll be doing it in. By first identifying the perceived level of threat, you are then in a position to determine the level of protection required.
